Living in San Francisco makes me realize how detached I am from reality.
This morning I saw a very large woman dressed in a "Ren-fair-meets-an-ugly-weird-dominatrix-lady" outfit and didn't think twice about it. I thought it was extremely unattractive and weird but it's San Francisco and the heart of the Financial District. Of course I thought "what the the fuck is she wearing" but I didn't spend any more time on it then that.

It never occurred to me that it's also the last work day before Halloween. I'm just too used to weird people in this city that I can't appreciate an innocent costume day. What is this world coming to?

I'm an SF dweller too and I'm right there with you. Last week a friend of mine had a couple of her friends up from LA. We all went to see these bands play at Edinburgh Castle (on Geary) and as we were walking up Larkin, we passed a lovely "lady" workin' the corner. The LA folk were a little freaked out but I barely even noticed "her". Ahh SF... ahh borderline TL.

I didn't see anyone in costume yet today. I hope I do though
